To all J1s who want to join TJ guitar club, here's details of our next practice
Date: Wed, 17th feb 2010
Time: after contact time, 3.30pm
Venue: Room 126, same as last practice. Please come in first and shift all the tables and chairs to 1 side.
Note: All those who have a classical guitar, please bring it. Do not bring acoustic guitar. You can keep it at our Acoustic Lobby Information on wed morning from before 8am. Please come and take it after flag raising, then go to rm 126. The room is on 3rd floor of the music block. The music block is near to the canteen after the malay food stalls area, and the Leo Club noticeboard. There is a staircase, just come up to the 3rd floor.
We will put guiding directions around there, so don't worry too much. If you can't find your way, just contact anyone of us.

Hello everyone, here's the link to Ballade Pour Adeline, played by NTU niibori ensem. Its very similar, if not identical, to the score we're playing. So we can actually refer to our score and try to follow as much as possible. It's very niceeee! :D
Our target is to learn the first 6 lines by next practice on wed, 10th Feb! We can do it!! Jiayou & practise hard!
But, we have so many ppl who have missed prac cos of orientation. Help them catch up on wed k :)
In case you're interested, the other niibori piece we're playing for concert is Plink Plank Plonk. Our seniors played it before! Here's a vid from 1 of their rehearsals. It's 2 songs combined tgt, the 1st one is summer breeze, 2nd one is then plink plank plonk (start at and 2min20) Enjoy! :D

Activity on wed, 3rd Feb Hello tmr is a busy day for guitar! :DD Read on & u knw what I mean For TA1s Time: 3.20 to 6pm You need to bring ur guitar. Put at mozart rm in the morning.
Immediatelyafter contact time, come up & leave ur bag thr, only bring down ur valuables. (no need to bring down guitar)
Then hurry down to Recital Rm* to watch the US performance.
It starts at 3.30 so be quick!
(*Recital Rm is on the 1st floor below Mozart Rm)
After the performance, proceed to help out at the guitar booth for PDP exhibition, which is at the Arts Hub. There will be some seniors around so dun worry :) It's until 4.30, so help to pack up after that.
Finally, u can get to play ur guitar & continue learning Fur Elise until 6pm @ Mozart Rm! Chen Yin will be there to supervise, so be good!
For JC2s Time: 1.45pm come after your lunch. Venue: Rm 126 Attire: Full uniform Who: All performers (u shud know who u r) and those at the booth (Shi Qi, Chen Yin, Jeslyn & Tsin Ning)
NOTE: Leave ur bag in mozart room, only bring down ur valuables and guitar You are excused from contact time and civics, so don't worry.
Brief sequence of activity: -Practise Sway (set up booth @ e same time) -PDP performance -Watch US guitarists performance (everybody) -Attend US guitarists workshop (selected exco and selected/interested members). The rest have small group practice from 4.30 to 6pm
Announcement: On wed, besides watching the US guitarists perform, they are also going to conduct a workshop from after the performance till 5.30pm. Its technical skills on guitar playing. It will be good if u can ask questions and learn more. So who is interested? We have very limited number of places, so if u want sms Mei Zhen asap. First come first serve basis
Regarding small group practice from 4.30 to 6pm, i/cs and assistant i/cs of each group will be in charge. They are Mark, Davis, Yucheng, Joel, Teresa and Poh Chun. All ur scores, if not at least 1 score, should be ready. Learn as much as possible. This may be the only time to prac, cos we are short of time to learn other concert pieces. You can have max 10min break, pls pls dun waste time!
